iodine and camphor can be separated from their mixture by sublimation. give reasons

No, we cannot use sublimation method for a mixture of Iodine and camphor.

Reason:

1.Sublimation is the process where a solid substance on heating converts directly into gas without turning into liquid state.

2.This method can used if one of the component is sublimate and other non sublimate.

3. But in this example , Iodine and Camphor both undergo sublimation.

4. Hence sublimation cannot be used.

Camphor is a sublime substance it will evaporate and only iodine will be left
