in molten state there are a lot of numbers of free ion which are responsible for conductivity

shourya7: but in aqueous state
Ashishmalik: same process friend, bcz when a compound dissolve in water some compounds dissociate into ion thats process here
shourya7: ok thanks

The ionic solids conduct electricity in molten state as the constituent particles of ionic solid are not free to move in solid state, thus ionic solids are insulators in their solid state. While the ions become free to move in the molten state.
