Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq was the epitome of Ishq e Rasool. He was the first amond adults to embrace Islam. He shared the Cave with the Holy Prophet when they escaped from Mecca, and was referred to in the Holy Quran as “the second of the Two”. In the battle of Badr, he stood guard over the Holy Prophet. When he died he had the honour of being buried by the side of the tomb of the Holy Prophet.

In “The Mysteries of Selflessness” (Israr e Khudi), Iqbal syas that one night he saw Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq in a dream.
