Area of the room is left uncarpeted = Area of Room - Area of Carpet

⇒ Area of the room is left uncarpeted = (Length × Breadth) - Area of Carpet

⇒ Area of the room is left uncarpeted = (4m × 3m) - Area of Carpet

⇒ Area of the room is left uncarpeted = 12m² - (Length × Breadth)

⇒ Area of the room is left uncarpeted = 12m² - (3m × 2m )

⇒ Area of the room is left uncarpeted = 12m² - 6m²

⇒ Area of the room is left uncarpeted = 6m²
