iron ball is a solid ball and water is a liquid how do the two differ with respect to their shape ,size ,diffusion and density?

Iron is a solid substance at room temperature and iron ball is a solid.
Water is a liquid at room temperature.  

Iron ball has a shape of its own  - spherical.  It has a proper size and volume.  Iron ball does not diffuse in air or along the floor.

Water has no shape of its own.  water has a size or quantity specified by its volume.  Water diffuses along the floor and has a flat surface.   Density of water is less than that of iron, as iron ball sinks in water.  So iron matter is densely packed in the iron ball than water matter being packed in water.

The iron ball being solid has very tightly packed atoms that are strongly bonded as compared to the water. This would lead to the following difference, in terms of their;

1)shape- the shape of the iron ball is fixed. The only way to change the shape of that iron ball, is if it was to be molten and given another shape. On the contrary, water takes the shape of the container it is put in.

2)Size: The same amount of atoms of iron would occupy a smaller space as compared to the same amount of atoms of water. This therefore means that for the same amount of atoms of iron compared to water, the iron will be smaller in size.

3)Diffusion: Diffusion in water is possible but very slow, liquids are able to diffuse as their particles can move around each other. Solids on the other hand, like this iron ball, do not diffuse as the particles constituting it are not free to move around.

4)Density: Density refers to the mass of an element per unit volume. Since the particles of the solid are tightly packed together, its mass per unit volume will be higher than that of water.
