Hey there!
When Copper sulphate and iron nail are put together then the reactions occurs is:
Fe(s) + CuSO₄ (aq) → FeSO₄(aq) + Cu (s)
As we know the colour copper sulphate solution is blue in colour. When we put iron nail in it , copper forms brown coloured coating on iron nail. The solution's colour also changes to light green colour.
Hence, it is a displacement reaction as iron is more reactive than copper and copper is displaced to form ferrous sulphate solution.
Hope It Helps YoU!

It is due to displacement reaction.Iron being more reactive than copper displaces copper and get mixed with sulpahte solution.
Eqn-CuSO4 =+ Fe= FeSO4 + Cu
Eqn-CuSO4 =+ Fe= FeSO4 + Cu
