Iron is allowed to react with a greenish-yellow gas to form a compound ‘A’. When compound
‘A’ is made to react with sodium hydroxide solution then it forms a soluble salt ‘B’ and an insoluble salt ‘C’. [3]
i) Identify ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’.
ii) Give chemical equations for both the reactions.
iii) State the colour of the insoluble salt ‘C’.
