iron is used to make bridges. write an advantage and disadvantage. what is done to overcome the disadvantage

Iron is very strong metal.

Disadvantage

It will react to air and water vapor and make a film/layer of rust and rust will make iron weaker and weaker. Thus iron will not very durable when the film/layer of rust attached to iron.
