Iron nails are kept in three test tubes- A having water, B having boiled water and a layer of oil and C having anhydrous CaCl2. Nails in which test tubes will undergo corrosion. Give reasons.

In the testtube which contains water because of oxidation of iron in water

Your 1st option is correct.Reason is below:---
As all of us know that the required condition for corrosion is the presence of Water and Oxygen. And
A Test tube, water is present in it and oxygen is also present in the dissolved form.
So, it causes corrosion of nail.

B test tube, there is boiled water in it which remove the dissolved oxygen from the water and a layer of oil don't allow the air to come into water.

C test tube, there is CaCl2 is present which absorbs the oxygen. and thus corrosion doesn't take place.
