iron sink in water but motor boat which is made of iron dosent sink in water . why ?

the shape of a Boat is much different from free found iron which have no definite shape the boat is made with such arrangement that it occupies more air than the body which is lifting by the boat

Any object placed above water surface displaces water equivalent to it's weight. The same happens with irregular or unscientifically designed iron which also displaces water equivalent to it's weight but gets sink because it's unable to maintain its boyency as water gets spiller and weight gets increased. But the boats are designed in such a way that even if displaces equivalent water it doesn't allow water to spill inside thus it's floating while continuosly maintaining its boyency. Thus the Iron sink in water but motor boat which is made of iron dosent sink in water.
