The multiplicative inverse of a number is the number which when multiplied to the number gives 1. Here, 0.5*2 = 1, Hence 0.5 is the multiplicative inverse of 2.

Usually the reciprocal of a number will be its multiplicative inverse.

ie, herein case of 2, the multiplicative inverse will be 1/2 = 0.5.

Other examples can be 5 & 1/5, 19 & 1/9, etc.
