Hey There!

______________

Question: is 0 a rational number?

Firstly What is a rational number?

=> A rational number are integers that can be written in the form of fraction.

=> A fractional forms means a number written as p/q, where p and q are integers.

=> It has a condition that the denominator must not be equal to 0.

Solution:

In order to claim a number as rational number, it needs to respect the two rules.

=> Now if we see 0, we can write 0 as 0/1 that means in the form of p/q

=> Secondly p and q that is 0 and 1, both are integers

=> Thirdly we can see that the denominator q, that is 1 is not zero

That means it has all what were required for a rational number and hence 0 is a rational number.

Hope this helps!
