- Is x-1 a factor of f(x)=x²-1
Let f(x) = x²-1
Divisor = x-1
Apply Remainder Theorem ,
⟹x-1=0
⟹x=1
•°•f(x)=-1
f(x) = 0
- So by factor theorem ,(x-1) is a factor of f(x)=x²-1
