Is 1 a prime number,, since it is only divisible by 1 and itself??

But if a number is divisible only byitself and by 1, then it is prime. So,because all the other even numbersare divisible by themselves, by 1, and by 2, they are all composite (just as all the positive multiples of 3, except 3,itself, are composite).
