LHS = (1+cosA)²

= 1²+cos²A + 2×1×cosA

= 1+cos²A +2cosA ---(1)

RHS = (1-cosA)(1+cosA)

= 1- cos²A

= sin²A ---(2)

From (1) &(2), we conclude that,

(1+cosA)²≠(1-cosA)(1+cosA)
