10 × [(6 + (–2)] = 10 × 6 + 10 × (–2)


LHS:

10 × [(6 + (–2)]

= 10 x (4)

= 40


RHS:

10 × 6 + 10 × (–2)

= 10 ( 6 - 2)

= 10 (4)

= 40


LHS = RHS => They are equal
