Given :-

An AP 3, 8, 13, ......

To find :-

Is 125 a term of AP series 3, 8, 13, .....

Formula used :-

nth term of an AP series is given by

a_n = a + (n - 1) \times d

where,

♡ a = first term of an AP

♡ d = Common Difference of an AP

♡ n = number of terms of an AP.

Solution:-

First term, a = 3

Common Difference, d = 8 - 3 = 5

a_n \:  = 125

=> a + (n - 1)d = 125

3 + (n - 1)×5 = 125

5n - 5 = 122

5n =122 + 5

5n = 127

n = 127/5 which is not a natural number.

Hence 125 is not a term of AP 3, 8, ....
