Is -150 a term of an A.P : 11, 8, 5, 2,...?
Please tell me the answer with the steps :)

a = 11

d = 8-11 = -3

an = -150

an = a+ ( n-1 )d  

an = 11 + ( n-1 ) -3

-150 = 11 -3n +3

-150 = -3n + 14

-3n = -150-14

-3n = -164

n = 164/3 = 54.666

since n is not coming as a perfect number hence -150 is NOT a term of the given AP
