is -2 greater than-3

brainly124: yes my dear friend... minus 2 is greater than minus 3... to understand this letters just consider a simple example... waiting to get gaining 10 rupees and losing 2 rupees that is -2 then we would be remained up with 8 rupees but if we lose 3 rupees that is -3 we would have only 7 rupees.... does minus 2 is giving us a greater value as compared to minus 3... that is why we could consider - 2 as a greater number when compared to minus 3... in the same way if we take 3 and minus 2 3 is grater

yes of course - 2 is greater than minus 3... I would like to give you a very clear understanding explanation about this topic because I think my it confused my brother really very much that he lost so many marks for not knowing these very simple concepts..
now what is considered a daily life situation..
you have 10 rupees in your hand..
but you have to forcibly lose 2 Rupees in an incident.(that is -2)
then your left with only 8 rupees..

but if you have lost 3 rupees in that incident (that is -3) would have been left only with 7 rupees.

this tells you that if you lose 2 Rupees you will be left with more amount as compared to the amount will be left with when you lose 3 rupees.

as - 2 gives you more value as compared to -3, you could no doubt say that -2 is definitely greater than minus 3..

for suppose, if they ask you to find out which is the bigger number among 100 and minus 100000 you could tell that 100 is greater than - 100000...

or if you are given other numbers like - 100 and minus 200 you could say minus 100 is greater than minus 200...

now here is a question for you
which of the following numbers is Greater please answer in the comment box
minus 3 and 0
minus 1 and minus 2..

answering them correctly could make me ensure that I would have given you a good explanation..

cheers!!;
