it is a ir rational number because its decimal expansion is repeating non terminating

Bunti360: It is rational bro !
mac10: no it is not repeating because repeating there means that decimal values must be same but it is reverse with pi
abhishekcpr: how
Bunti360: 22/7 is not pi ! It is nearly equal to pi ! Google it if you don't believe me !
abhishekcpr: yeah u r right
Bunti360: 22/7 is a repeating decimal ! and that's for sure !
utkbkkh: lol
utkbkkh: Its rational

Rational number is nothing but a number which can be expressed in the form of p/q, Where q ≠ 0,

Here you have already mentioned it in p/q form, So we can say that 22/7 is rational number,
Another way of saying is,

The numbers which will terminate or the numbers which will not terminate but reoccur is also a rational number,

22/7 is a number which doesn't terminate but repeats after certain interval,
22/7 = 3.142857142857142857142857...........,

And this is why it is rational again !

Remember if it is not a rational number then we can't express it in a fractional form !

Therefore the answer is "It is a Rational Number"

Hope you understand, Have a Great Day !
Thanking you, Bunti 360 !
