Step-by-step explanation:

LHS = -23 + (45)

       = 22

RHS = -45 + (-23)

       = -45 -23

       = - 68

                        22 ≠  -68

                     ∴ LHS ≠ RHS

Answer:

-23+(45)= +22

-45 +(-23) = -68

Step-by-step explanation:

In -23 + (45), substract the lowest from the highest and put the symbol of the highest, when the symbols are opposite( - and +).

EXAMPLE: -8 + (5) = -3.

In -45 + (-23), since the symbols are same, add the values and put the same symbol.

EXAMPLE: -8 + (-5) = -13

               (+8) + 5 =+ 13
