Answer:

Not at all!!!!

Step-by-step explanation:

I gave my FIITJEE entrance exam back when i was in 10th. In first attempt I didn't that there were 2 papers. I thought we had to give any one of the papers so I gave paper 2 (which is NTSE stage II level). When I checked the result it showed that we had two give two papers. After that, I told the admission department that due to some circumstances I could not give paper 1 for which they rescheduled the exam. Then I reappeared for the test and scored 200/420 and got 25% scholarship. Then I knew that I can gain more scholarship after that and again reappeared and scored 350/450 for which I got a 50% scholarship. If I had scored this many marks in the first attempt then I could have got a 75% scholarship cause they make slabs down one by one for reappearing in the admission test so that we don't have an edge over freshers.

So work hard and study from any good institute's foundation coursebook (personally I increased so much in just 1 week because of this), very little comes from NCERT, but yes you should solve questions from it also. Don't waste time on questions which are needed to be prooved.

If you are from CBSE school then let me tell you ICSE students have an edge over you because they study topics in-depth and CBSE just leaves it for the upcoming classes. FIITJEE prepares the paper for students who are in ICSE and CBSE, so many things are out of syllabus, but you can prepare it by getting a general knowledge of class 11 NCERT Physics and chemistry books. Also, prepare from class 9 whole physics syllabus and chemistry mole concept in-depth.

Fun Fact- This question is of 2020 and I am writing this answer in 2021 so that future students can prepare.
