As we all know linear equations in one variable are always in the form of ax + b = 0 having one variable x

given ,

2t - 1 = 2t  + 5

=> 2t - 2t = 1 + 5

=> 0 = 6 \: not \: possible

Hence , the given equation is not the linear equations in one variable

Answer:

2t - 1 = 2t +5  is not a linear equation .

Step-by-step explanation:

Explanation:

Given , 2t - 1 = 2t + 5

A linear equation is an  algebraic equation of the form y = mx + b

involving only a constant and a first - order term .

Step 1:

We have , 2t -1 = 2t +5

⇒2t - 2t = 5 +1

⇒ 0 = 6  .....(i)

So , equation  ( i ) is not in the form of  y = mx + b

Final answer :

Hence , 2t - 1= 2t +5 is not a linear equation .
