The answer is given below :

Yes, 3.4 (bar on 4) is a rational number.

Reason -

Let, x = 3.4 (bar on 4) = 3.44444444....

So, 10x = 34.444444444....

Now,

10x - x = 34.44444444... - 3.444444444....

=> 9x = 31

=> x = 31/9, which is the required rational number.

very simple question

⏩ we have to convert or express this in P/Q form which is rational number

⏩ see the number in your question is 3 . 4 ( bar on 4 ) bar means it's non -terminating repeating

⏩ Now see the question carefully it's a pure form so that's why it becomes easy for u

♦ steps for solving this are following

♣ remove bar for number and taken as equation 1

♣ see the bar has how many number in your question bar has 4 (on the bar ) one number (add 10 both side )taken as 10 x = 34.44444...... equation 2

♣ Now subtract equation 2-1

♣ which gives u x = 31/9

therefore it is in the form of P/q it is a rational number

.............,,,....)))
