Let the number be x.

You may assume any other variable.

Hence the value of x will be the required answer.

According to question,

4/3 of x = 13 + 1/6 of x
4x/3 = 13 + x/6

4x/3 = (78 + x)/6

Cross-multiplying,

24x = 3(78 + x)
24x = 234 + 3x
21x = 234
x = 234/21

x = 11 \frac{3}{21}

Hence the required answer = 11 \frac{3}{21}
