Given AP is 5, 8, 11, 14

so a= 5,  d = 3

We know that nth term of a = a + (n-1)d

                                         51 = 5 + (n-1) 3

                                         46= 5 + 3n - 3

                                         44 = 3n

                                        n = 44/3

As n is supposed to be a whole number 51 cannot be a term of  the given AP

So 51 is not a term of AP
