The given lens is a CONCAVO-CONVEX LENS.

But how to identify?

  • Consider light ray is coming from left side to right.

  • First of all, look at the left surface of the lens, the radius of curvature is directed along the direction of light, so that side is concave.

  • Then, look at the right side, the radius of curvature is directed opposite to the direction of light hence, that side is concave.

  • So, it's concavo-convex.

  • Another easier method !

  • The lens is prepared with combination of 2 individual lens as attached in image.

  • Hence, it's concavo-convex.

\star Hope It Helps.
