⏩ Progress means different to different people and different groups according to their perception and ideologies ..
⏩ If progress stands for economic growth and development then as per data average growth rate of democratic regimes is around 3.95 whereas it is slightly higher i.e. 4.42 in dictatorial regimes .
⏩ Moreover within democracies there can be very high degree of inequalities . Such as in countries like south Africa and Brazil top 20% people take away more than 60% of the national income. This is definately a hindrance to progress.
