OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER (OCD) is a neurotic disorder found more among women.
OCD is an anxiety disorder. In OCD people have obsessions(excessive thoughts), unwanted ideas, compulsions(repetitive behaviours )etc. It is a chronic and long lasting disorder.
Some few examples of compulsions are as follows :
•Repeat a name or word several times.
•Cleaning their hands (body) & their surrounding objects many times in a day .
•ordering and arranging things in a certain order.
•checking things repeatedly.
