Also, the population is growing at an exponential rate. So, to cater the needs of growing population and future generations, resources should be used judiciously by us.

Natural resources are limited in quantity, especially the non-renewable ones, which once consumed, cannot be regenerated. The reserves of fossil fuels such as coal are rapidly dwindling owing to massive consumption the world over.
