Personal view on "importance of sense of duty or friendship".
Explanation:
As social animals, man is not accustomed to being alone forever. We need social interaction, friends, and others to thrive as a human being. But despite the need to be socially active and be around people, there are times we need to be alone and be surrounded by our own beliefs and thoughts.
Likewise, friendships are good and give us a sense of belonging and desire. But at the same time, some values precede even friendship. A sense of duty towards anything is one's conscious decision and must not be chosen over other things. What is one's conscience is important and at most times contains the true thing.
Even though friendship is a close bond between individuals, there are many instances when they can be mistaken and even wrong. They are just personal beliefs and mindsets, and may at times be even made in one's anger or stressed events. And such decisions or opinions are bound to be wrong or influenced.
So, one's duty is more important than friendship. Friendship is bound to be through many tough paths, sometimes good and at times, more than bad. But even then, there is hope for remedy and reconciliation. But a person's duty should not and is not subjected to such options. Doing what is right precedes any other else. It is the belief to do things right and lead a humane life, away from the influence of any outside opinion. As such, I believe that a person's sense of duty is more important than friendship.
