because, when you connect the camera to the computer you can either take pictures off the camera or put them on to the camera.
The camera when plugged into a PC works like a memory card reader and so you can either put data onto your PC from the device, or give the camera back some data. With the right formatting you can actually copy an image you’ve taken from the camera to the computer (INPUTting the data into the computer), edit the image for example adding some cartoon characters or something to it, and then you can OUTPUT the data back to the camera to then take it away and show to people.
