Yes adolescence is a time period where they experience storm and stress.
This term "storm and stress" was originally coined by G.Stanley in the book of adolescence which was written in the year of 1904.
This term was used by Stanley in order to explain the inevitable turmoil that the children go through when they are transitioning from childhood to adulthood.
Strom here refers to the decreased levels of self control and stress refers to the increased amount of sensitivity that they experience.
These are followed by three main categories which are :
(1) conflict with parents
(2) mood disruption and
(3) risky behaviour.
