A colloidal solution is a solution which seems to be homogeneous but is a heterogeneous mixture.

A colloidal solution can have a Tyndall effect. Since particles of air scatters sunlight, they show Tyndall effect.

The particles of colloidal solution can be separated by centrifugation.

According to SDHS (Science Department Hunt Studies) Air can be both Homogeneous and heterogeneous

Homogeneous because it contains right amount of Nitrogen (78.006), Oxygen (20.95), Argon (0.9)

Heterogeneous because it contains variable amounts of Dust particles and Water vapours..
