Explanation:

Air is the mixture of gases we find in the atmosphere. It has solid particles like dust and liquid smog sometimes mixed with it.

Air is that invisible gas we feel just surrounding us all the time unless we are diving. It is a mixture, not a pure substance.

The mixture is defined as a substance, which is formed when two or more substances are mixed homogeneously.

In the air, we find different gases, most of which is nitrogen, then there’s oxygen, carbon dioxide, Sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, Nobel gases, etc.

There’s water vapor in variable quantity and there are dust particles too.

Air is a ‘mixture of gases’.

Explanation:

  • Air is a ‘mixture’ of different gases present in air in a certain proportion. There is 70% of Nitrogen present in air 20% of oxygen and the rest are other gases.
  • IT is a heterogeneous type of mixture because the ‘composition of air’ varies from place to place and also from time to time.
  • The ‘amount of carbon dioxide’ in the air is increasing and as a result the increase in greenhouse effect is present on earth in recent times.
