Air has 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and 1% other constituents such as CO2, water vapour etc
About 100 years ago proportion of CO2 in air was about 0.029% and now it is 0.035%.
More over it is also a colloid as it has suspended particulates as well as other gases.
It also contains varying quantities of water vapor and minute amounts of other gasses such as carbon monoxide
Assuming air to be a compound ( If not a mixture) we shouldn't have been able to separate it's constituent but we can do it as a matter of fact by fractional distillation of liquid air.
Thus air is a mixture
