alloy is not a solution, it is a mixture of different metals mixed in both similar and dissimilar proportions. Thus alloy can also be homogenous or heterogenous mixture depending on the proportions of different metals present in it.
For example:- Manganin is an alloy of two metals manganese, copper and nickel. Another example is of solder made of tin and lead.
