To all our readers in India,

This is the 1st time we've asked recently, so we'll get straight to the point: this Sunday we need you to make a donation to protect Wikipedia's independence. 98% of our readers don't give; they simply look the other way. But a growing number of our readers in India have given what they could to help, and maybe you can do the same.

If everyone reading this donated ₹ 150, we could keep Wikipedia thriving for years. It's a little awkward for us to ask you this Sunday, as we're sure you are busy and we don't mean to interrupt you.

We know most people will ignore this message. But our hope is that you'll think about how valuable it is to have access to a source of open knowledge that doesn't charge you anything and would never show you ads. If Wikipedia provided you ₹ 150 worth of knowledge this year, please take a minute to help keep it growing. Thank you.
