The law of reflection states that the angle of reflection, θr, equals the angle of incidence, θi. The angles are measured relative to the line perpendicular to the surface at the point where the ray strikes the surface. The incident and reflected rays, along with the normal, lie in the same plane.

Explanation:

The law of relection is a very good guess to understand the behaviour of how light travels. The angle of incident = angle of reflection.

This is also applicable on any surface till now, both concave and convex mirror. The only difference in both is that in concave mirror this reflected ray passes through the focus. And in convex mirror it seems to appear from the focus behind the mirror.
