The equation for the reaction would be:

Fe + CuSO4======>Cu +FeSO4

This reaction is an example of displacement reaction and no gas is evolved as the products are in solid and aqueous state respectively

No gas but reaction will be displacement reaction.

Iron is more reactive than copper so

Fe + CuSO4 = FeSO4(l) + Cu(s)

Cu is displaced by Fe
