Well arduino has simple syntax of its own, but you should have basic knowledge of- java, python, c/c++ or c based languages. and a bit of electrical knowledge

Explanation:

Java is taught in most schools and if you are good in java, learning python and arduino should be a piece of cake. I recommend C too because of its 'hard-syntax' which should make you perfect at school level.

Some knowledge about arduino and electrical components is must (for ex do not set arduino above 20V)
