there are a few new fossil fuel plastics that can also be biodegradable. The most common ones are Polybutylene succinate (PBS), Polycaprolactone (PCL), Polybutyrate adipate terephthalate (PBAT) and Polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH/PVA).
