It practically does not have much use, But it can be used for studying Various Graphs and Charts. Also it can be used to derive formulae that will help you in solving complex problems in future relating to various topics like Demand & Supply, Economic Conditions etc.
It is included in our syllabus just to make sure that we understand the basic system of deriving Formulae thats it. Just understand the concept and Move On... ;)
