For this question there are many answers
if you are interested in arts and dam sure that you can do something blindly take arts but this is new era we have to earn to fulfil the demands of our family.In arts it may ne possible that you are not able to earn more and not able to fulfil the demands of your family
But arts can be very helpful if you wants to become a civil servant.but today there is demands of iit engineer and government doctors.But if the family condition is not well dont take but if you think you can do something take because it requires lots of money in science stream.
According to my view arts is little bit beneficial
