Answer:

No, there is a difference between them. Arts is a stream or course, whatever you wanna call it. And Fine arts comes under arts. And Fine arts is different from applied arts. Applied arts is usually mistaken as fine arts but there IS a difference between. Fine Arts is a form of art which deals with the aesthetic value. Fine Arts deals with the study of drawing, sculpture, painting, literature, pottery, printmaking, ceramics, and murals. While Fine Arts deals with the traditional artistic field, applied arts deals with creativity which is commercialized and materialised such as architecture, graphic designing, interior designing, fashion designing and much more. The creativity applied here is that a student makes a product or a service soothing to the eyes. However, the creativity is more sophisticated and technical rather than the free hand in Fine Arts. Another is performing arts which consists of Music, Dance, Drama etc.

Yes, they are different from each other. Both Arts and humanities interpret the human experience through words or non-verbal forms of expression. It's true that the arts have more to do with the act of creation itself, whether through performance or the physical production of works, while the humanities have to do more with research and critical analysis.

There is no restriction for the fashion designing course regarding the stream. All streams are eligible for applying for fashion designing course. But if you are sure that you only want to be a fashion designer, in that case you can take arts as other streams are not of much use in this case. By taking arts you can take out time to explore your creative side and also can prepare for the entrance exams.

Hope it helps you!~
