Bacteria have both DNA and RNA. Bacteria are prokaryotic organisms which means they are primitive organisms without a membrane bound nucleus. Their nuclear components are either found scattered in the cytoplasm or in a body known as the nucleoid. They have primitive DNA which is a single, circular chromosome. The RNA is also present and is found associated to proteins.
