Is baking powder acidic, basic or neutral in nature?Give reason

It is basic in nature. When we add acid to baking powder we will get salt, carbon dioxide and water

baking powder is basic in nature. to prove it put some baking powder in water and dip a red litmus paper in the solution. the red litmus will change into blue.
