Basaltic magma has a low viscosity (fluid’s resistance to flow or how thick or sticky the fluid can be), a high temperature, and a low silica content these factors make the basalt magma to erupt very peacefully

Whilst the endesitic magma has an intermediate composition, an intermediate viscosity, a mid-range temperature, and a moderate amount of silica. these factors makes it erupt or explode more violent than the basaltic but its not the most explosive compared to the Rhyolitic

Answer:

Non explosive eruptions are favored by low gas content and low viscosity magmas (basaltic to andesitic magmas).
