the Bible has been banned, burned, banished, and forbidden; but this hasn’t stopped the Word of God from going out into the world. In one remote part of the world in Africa, there was so much opposition to the Bible that the Muslims went from house to house trying to find a copy of the Bible. If they found it, they would not only burn it but sometimes the person with whom it was found. But to those who hold to the precious Word of God, they don’t care. They have such a hunger and thirst for the Word of God that they are willing to risk their lives for possessing a Bible. What one group decided to do was take the Bible apart and then each one of them would memorize a book of the Bible that they had been given. For example, one man memorized the entire Gospel of Matthew while another memorized all of the Book of Romans. In this way, they would always have the Bible in their hearts; and you can’t ban or remove what’s been hidden in a person’s heart. When they all came together, even with no Bible, they would recite from memory certain books of the Bible so that they could all hear the entire Word of God, at least the New Testament.Today the Bible is illegal to own in some nations, but they can never eliminate the Word of God that’s been ingrained into a person’s mind. In fact, they could destroy the body but not the soul; and in a similar fashion, God’s Word is indestructible.
