Biomass is fuel that is obtained from organic materials. it is a renewable and also a sustainable source of energy. It is used to produce electricity and other forms of energy.

Biomass is produced from organic matters like
scrap lumber, crop wastes and garbage.

Biomass is a renewable because:

- waste residues from industries will always exist – like scrap wood and mill residuals

- Organic residue from forest is always available. Even when trees are cut, they can be grown again.
